Beta trust
Privacy
Plain-English privacy notes for the Port Ledger beta.
What Port Ledger is
Port Ledger is a beta portfolio record and dividend tracking app for Philippine investors. It helps you keep holdings, broker cash, dividend records, income projections, and portfolio maintenance notes in one place.
Account and profile information
We collect account and profile information such as your sign-in email, display name if you add one, and basic authentication records needed to provide access to your account.
Portfolio and financial records
You may enter or import portfolio and financial records, including broker accounts, cash balances, holdings, transaction records, dividend receipts, assumptions, and income goals.
Admin-maintained market and import data
During beta, Port Ledger may use admin-maintained market and import data such as price files, benchmark prices, import staging records, and data-quality logs to support portfolio views.
Separate analytics systems
Vercel Analytics measures aggregate, anonymous use of public pages. Separately, Port Ledger's first-party Beta Insights may observe signed-in users who have not opted out.
Signed-in daily activity
Beta Insights keeps at most one record per user per Asia/Manila day. It contains only broad categories—home, income, holdings, activity, performance, setup, import, and more—and trusted first and last receipt times. It is not a clickstream and does not store page paths.
Attribution and onboarding projections
Beta Insights may keep sanitized first-touch campaign labels and broad referrer and landing categories; raw referrers, URLs, and query strings are discarded. Setup-start and activation projections may also be stored. Activation means one active, nondeleted broker has explicit starting cash and a positive holding for that same broker.
What Beta Insights does not collect
Beta Insights does not collect financial values, quantities, prices, rates, targets, symbols, broker names, account labels, transaction details, notes, filenames, raw URLs or query strings, IP addresses, user agents, device fingerprints, session replay, arbitrary event payloads, or third-party signed-in product analytics.
Founder-only access
Only authenticated founder accounts whose Supabase Auth UUID is configured in a server-side allowlist can access Beta Insights. Normal users have no direct telemetry-table access. Founder views contain bounded progress and counts, not financial details.
Retention and prospective opt-out
Detailed activity keeps the current Manila day plus the preceding 90 completed Manila days. Opting out stops future optional signed-in activity, attribution, setup-start, and activation-projection writes. Existing detailed activity ages out normally; sanitized attribution and milestones remain until account deletion. Opting back in resumes only future observation and does not recreate the opted-out interval.
Necessary product records
The analytics preference does not remove or stop authentication, profile, broker, portfolio, ledger, import, assumption, FI-target, price, security, audit, or operational records needed to provide Port Ledger.
Account deletion
Through the published support process, identity is verified before the reviewed deletion procedure removes Beta Insights activity and projection records with applicable account and product records, removes the Auth identity last, and verifies completion. Temporary operational logs and backups follow their separately disclosed retention.
No brokerage linking or trading
Port Ledger does not link to brokerages, does not ask for brokerage passwords, and does not place trades. Do not enter private brokerage credentials into Port Ledger.
No sale of personal data
Port Ledger does not sell personal data. We use account and portfolio records to operate and improve the beta product.
Security expectations
Port Ledger uses authentication, server-side access checks, and database row-level security to separate user records. No system is perfectly secure, and beta users should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive documents or credentials.
Privacy questions
For privacy questions, contact the Port Ledger team at support@useportledger.app.
Optional analytics preference
Opting out stops future optional public analytics and signed-in Beta Insights collection.
Existing detailed activity ages out normally. Sanitized attribution and setup or activation milestones remain until account deletion.
Necessary account and portfolio records are unaffected. Turning analytics back on resumes only future observation and does not fill the opted-out gap.
Current choice: optional analytics are on.
